Wave Rider
Wave Rider was the result of my first game jam. I worked with five teammates over the course of 48 hours to make simple but well-polished puzzle game in which players have to position "wave jets" to guide a marble through a maze while collecting stars to gain points and layers of the soundtrack.
I was somewhat of a design generalist on the team since most of our other members were more experienced in programming. I created assets such as the star and jet sprites and worked with other members to create the levels designs, color schemes, menus and trailer.

User Testing
I was also able to take advantage of my Game Interface Design Class and Northeastern University's Usability Testing lab to run user tests on the game after the game jam. My team collected data on how users interacted with the game and reported on how intuitive people felt the mechanics were and how naturally they felt the levels progressed. This all culminated in a paper and presentation in which we discussed our findings with our peers.
The game itself can be found on the Global Game Jam Website or by clicking here.
